Yup - I've done the starter ones as a Rogue a Fighter and a Cleric now - all
pretty different experiences tbh
But I agree, anyone who says "there's a beholder just around this corner"
will be hung/drawn/quartered for more than one reason

Yes I need a dex of 17+ for some rogue things 8-(
Still, our current chars aren't set in stone.
One word of warning with respect to non Angry Dragons nights.
I didn't enjoy the second time playing a dungeon as the first, when you know
where everything is and all traps, it loses a bit of its appeal. The same
reason I never really took to a second char in WoW.
You saw how fast we ran throught some places last night. You will end up
simply repeating all the dungeons again with us.
But your call...
Just Dont' Tell ME!!!

As someone who came into the game without having played the beta I felt a
bit gimped. I learned what I could on the fly but you really need to plan
ahead with some of the classes and the enhancements/feats should be
documented someplace for easy reference during character generation e.g. I
now know that I may never be able to get Combat Expertise for Gizmo as it
requires Int of 13. A quite appropriate D'oh! right there :(

I had a blast! The game as a "tool" will do just nicely for online gaming
with friends :)
Question: Both Dalton and I have rolled up "non Angry Dragon night"
characters - but do we want them in the guild (to bulk up numbers) also, as
there are items/rewards I believe for having a guild of a certain size by a
certain date.
I rolled up a dex based elven fighter (short sword / long sword) - and
within minutes had my first magical item - a shield :(

So we have in the Guild on Boldrei
feel free to elaborate guys
The Angry Dragons
Leigh, Rogue, DEX based, daggers and throwing daggers specced, planning on
being scout/trapfinder/backstabber.
Female Halfling Annabel Swiftfinger
Dalton, Fighter, Tank
Male Warforged Gizmo xxx
Joe, Wizard, All round flamethrower,
Female Elf Wynn xxx
Conor, Cleric, A tad too fond of The Darkness
Female Human Sashik xxx
(can't remember all the second names sorry)
I do feel compelled to explain the name
Angry Dragon
Immediately after you blow your load in a girl's mouth, smack the back of
her head and make it come out her nose. When she gets up she'll look like an
angry dragon.
8-) not to be explained to all of course.
So I had fun, it was a tad hectic but that's the problem with this long beta
period, Joe and I have done all this and forget to give you guys time to
enjoy the experience, sorry. After the next night, we should be up to spec
and be on the same page. Personally, I'm going all out trapfinder/disarmer
and stealth/move silently and I hope to be able to scout ahead a bit more. I
can take skills to increase my stealth speed if it is too slow (but like 5 %
isn't much.).
We do need to slow it down a bit anyway as running through the dungeon will
only get us killed and lose 25 % of the XP for it (as we saw with the
thieves-lucky with those CLW's). Up to now it's been easy but as I said
we've also played all these scenarios before. I was really lagged towards
the end of the night, the last dungeon with the scorpions you guys had
finished before I opened the door, hopefully just a teething problem.
Overall I think it was good, I need to figure out better weapon swapping
between daggers and throwing daggers, When my 20 are gone I reload
automatically but the icon disappears from my fast bar so I have to drag it
from my inventory if I need to swap back again quickly. I'm going to report
that as a bug or see if there's a better way to do it.
So have we planned an evening? Have we another 2? Have we classes we're
missing we'd like them to play? How did you guys find it?
Leigh.
