I'm in the "hey, at least no-one died" camp. However, Codemasters have handled this poorly and I'm afraid I don't accept the "we didn't know there'd be this much demand" excuse, they didn't plan this right, they know how many people own the game and contingencies should have been in place in case they were needed, Codemasters host other MMOs for Turbine so they should have had the capacity. Oh well, if it happens again next time then there'll be a few irate posts from me on the forums but we'll leave them alone this time.
I wonder if mine has finished patching yet?
Either way, I got my Druids mining to 295 last night and I have 4 gnome alts full of ore in anticipation of the launch of Jewelcrafting when BC comes. :)

And I think from what we've seen in the past - this should be stonkingly good.
I have a theory that anyone downloading tomorrow will have no probs at all - but right now every subscriber in Europe has his/her PC turned on - and by the looks of the forums everyone's ship will come in around the same time, meaning the weight should come of the servers all at the same time-ish, hopefully.
Course I'll be throwing a massive hissyfit if /showhelmet doesn't work.

Due to the high number of users updating their client for the module 3, some players may experience a loss of connection to the patch server.
Problem is occassionally we are running out of connections on patch servers so you may get unknown error, and a retry counter. The launcher will retry and if it gets a free connection it will start to download again. If not another error will appear, you should not have to restart the launcher unless the timer stops or download stops.
Download speeds will vary with size of file and we are seeing speeds between 1.5K/sec and 150K/sec.

Edited by Satine: Hi everyone, I've just got off the phone with Net Ops. We can confirm that all the game servers are up, although the server status is not updating correctly. The issues we are seeing are all caused by heavy traffic all trying to patch at the same time.
We are currently looking for solutions to ease this up for you. In the meantime we recommend that you do NOT re-install as this will place further demand to get even more files from the patch servers.
If you find you are left with a corrupted installation then please try copying all the files in your C:\Program Files\Turbine\Dungeons & Dragons Online - Stormreach\Backup directory and pasting them into the installation directory. This will force your client to get fresh copies of the file.
It certainly seems that everyone was waiting for module 3 to come and are all trying to get to the Sands of Menechtarun simultaneously! People are eventually patching up and leaving the patch servers however.
We do apologise for the delays you are experiencing with udpating. The team are all at their stations working on a solution to ease the bottle-necks.
Please keep all comments and such to this thread and we will keep our updates to this thread too - this makes it easier for people to find the information. I will close all other threads and point back to here in the meantime.
