Wow!! Nice dagger.
But I have +3 dex bracers, and a +2 dagger and weapon finesse already so no need to give it to me, thank you.
And I will stay to get healed up, but I expect only to be just able to see you guys on the mini map when I scout, not 3 pixels behind me in gleaming armour, hopping, breaking, and screaming and wondering why the thief is suddenly on fire and being attacked by 1500 minotaurs.
:p
Leigh.

BTW Leigh :)
do you have the "weapon finesse" feat?? Would you like it (kind of)
Picked up a named dagger called Onyxhorn - its basically a +2 Dagger that grants the weapon finesse feat to itself, oh and it also gives you +2 to your Dex as well
Will give to you on the same condition I gave Giants Roar to Mike then Brian - basically you don't sell and that you pass to Dryxia (Tryxia's sister) when you would no longer use it?
Good news on Giants Roar too Brian - I've picked up a second one - so its yours if you want it (all previous conditions gone!)
Sashkia - the chinese farmer of the angry dragons

Leigh I agree you need to be able to sneak ahead more......... lots more, and again from doing the high level stuff I know that if we can't start letting you do this we are gonna die horribly........ lots
BUT
Annabelle also needs to understand the implication of sneaking ahead (in a team dynamic), without waiting for healing/buffing, if you wander of with half health then you will have a plated priest charging down the corridor after you :)
Also we need to be able to co-ordinate the backstab a bit better.
e.g. on a big single mob, we should (probably) be allowing you to get backstab, me to curse and Joe to blast in that order - I think we all agree this is probably the most useful way?
The kind of "prep" that I have in mind for Stormcleave is exactly what you describe.
Basically from a role playing point of view I think it is acceptable that we know of enough rumour to support some prep! Whether its from the bragging of other players or personal experience etc etc etc
*************Mild Spolier Warning*******************
For example - I know from Stormcleave Outpost personal experience EXACTLY what we face - BUT my intention would be to prep for giants, trolls, minotaurs and wolves only ............
I would expect people with this in mind to get good at blocking as a team, and learning how to use range attacks behind a shield wall.
I would expect people to use Fire weapons on Trolls and for Joe to be prepared to spend most of his mana on Web, especially on the Minotaurs which the vetrans of the bars of Stormreach tell me is the best way to defeat the minotaurs.
I know the above to be the common mobs of Stormcleave - but I also know thats not it :) however I won't discuss the "other" mobs because I think they wander into the terrain of player knowledge.
I also know that we are gonnna wipe alot :) but nobody including me seems to have a problem with this. So its time for Stormcleave :)
I also know that there is XP loss for handing in the quests in the wrong order - I hope that nobody minds if I don't let us get that bit wrong because as far as I'm concerned this is a flaw in the game.
In terms of available nights I think for me Monday and Tuesday are ok - but I can't confirm until Monday when I get to work.

Subject: Re: [ddo] this week
I have no probs with tactics, it makes sense and even in pnp we discuss before a battle. But that means, for me, I need to be allowed to sneak ahead and scout, without having the armoured tanks right behind me smashing everything. I hate that you get a ransack bonus for running around like Zelda smashing things, it adds nothing to the game in my opinion.
I see my role as tumble in, backstab, (which hits with +11 to hit for 6d6 now - so well worth applying when I can), disarm traps and scout. I can protect Wynn from the back as the backstab and her diplomacy should handle most things, but my AC is shite so I do go down rather quickly as well.
It is hard to prepare for a dungeon without knowing too much about it beforehand. It's down to udead vs living, slimes etc, basically do we know what type of monsters etc..
If others have done the dungeon and hand us a recipe for how to do it all - not for me thanks.
I *like* the ohfuckohfuckohfuck we're almost dead and we need a rest shrine and we have to sneak everywhere buzz, I think that's FUN.
What do I want from the game?
I want about 4 hours a night, once a week where we relax, chat (not constant but a bit) and (perferably) do new content.
I'd like us all to be agreed on the starting time, it being the time the last person can make, I'd like us all to be ready at that point without having to unload a rake of collectables.
At the minute, some are more vocal that others on the list here, can everyone be a little more definite about what night they'd like to play? It shouldn't be a case of SMSing everyone to get online.
This week, I can play most nights, we have a biotech day on Wednesday for the Department with a BBQ in the evening but I doubt I'll stay that long. Trine of course being the deciding factor here. When I get home after being away 12 hours and she screams for an hour to go to bed.....well....Dorte has a lot of patience but not *that* much. :-)

bloody english and your bloody double nn's - who invented that anyway :)
Briann (sorry couldn't help it) raises and interesting point. You see I
think we are all trying to get something out of this game and I'm interested
as to what that is.
The reason that I ask is that at the moment (from my point of view) we are
playing like the worst kind of munchies. And even worse we seem to be
displaying some kind of misguided snobbery about being a munchie that leads
us to dismiss this possibility out of hand.
I don't think its a bad thing to want to relax in the evening and play a
computer game, and be a munchie about it - if thats what we want? But
personally I think its a bit sad that we are wasting what ddo will allow us
to do - in the non munchie game playing space.
Can I make a suggestion?
The next night we play - can we try something new? Its called tactics :)
I'd like to volunteer to lead our first outing into the world of tactical
"smell the flowers" gaming .... if thats ok? We'll be doing Stormcleave with
our mains if everyone agrees.
It will be very tough - I know we will wipe several times - but it will
force us to try and function as a unit.
Now the question for you soldiers is "can you handle taking orders" :)
