Its a very simple list - Vault of night/Stormcleave/and Redwillows ruins.
VON & Redwillows done once and to be honest I don't really remember much
about them, was rushed through by groups who knew the place backwards and
were not stopping to smell the coffee. Stormcleave I know backwards, but
would still like to do it with you guys - in fact I've been dying to do it
with you guys - its a lot of fun. I think just turning the mic off that
night and giggling about the reactions will be a laugh. I really don't think
its a big deal because as a cleric I should be 3-4th in line in terms of
making our way through.

I agree. This is really unfair on those of us who turn up (generally, I
hope, I've kept ppl informed when I couldn't make it but apologies for
those times when I didn't).

Conor, calm down man. I think you've been misunderstanding what I'm
saying. I'm not criticising you in any way. I really appreciate that
you, of all of us, are probably the most dedicated to getting everyone
together week on week and putting all this effort in to helping people
get alts up (e.g. helping me to get my drow unlocked) etc. You're like
our Duracell bunny! :)
I completely support you playing the game whenever and however you want!
As I said, you pay for your subscription, to hell with anyone else
telling you how to use it :)
The point I'm making is: For me, and I speak only for myself, a huge
part of the buzz in the game is the vibe we have when we're all doing
new content together... If any one of us have previously done a dungeon,
even if they say nothing whatsoever about what's going to happen, the
vibe, for me, is different. The "knower" is necessarily more reticent
and that affects the banter and general hoo-haa on TS. I'm not saying
it's bad or anything, just different. The vibe for us all playing
something together for the first time is the big kick for me. If one
person has to shut up because they know the content, then, for me, the
experience loses something.
I don't know how much more stuff you've done than with the group, but I
do know there is a certain amount of it... e.g. Stormcleave, you
mentioned something about a beholder (which start appearing in the CR 8
dungeons I believe) etc. and given the rate of your experience gain I'm
sure there's more than that.
I wasn't really clear last mail (have flu atm.. not so easy to talk)
about how I see the way forward, so I'll state it another way.
There's probably a huge chunk of stuff, around our level, which you
*haven't* done, and that, for me, is the stuff we should focus on (with
you playing Tryxia). Anything you have done (e.g. Stormcleave) then we
leave that till a night when you're not available and the rest of us do
it (maybe with a pick-up cleric or one of our alts). That way we're
approaching new content together whenever we're all together.... if you
get what I'm saying.
Any more attempts at misunderstanding can be taken up in TS... so I can
shout at people... ;)
Joe
