[ddo] Tonight?

EVE is very different from any MMO I've played before ...
- there's only one server, AFAICS.
- There are no classes, just skills, which anyone can learn. Skills take
time to learn to learn, the exact time required is determined by your 5
prime stats and the level of the skill (varies from minutes to days).
Skills continue to be trained when you are logged out. So essentially
someone who is not logged in at all, can progress their character as quickly
as someone who is logged in all the time. (Although the bloke who's logged
in is probably making money as well :) )
- The world is almost entirely player driven, with just some basic NPC
organisations to provide a background. E.g. Flying around space it is
almost impossible to tell which space stations are run by players and which
are NPC.
- All trade is done automatically with players via a superb stock-market
like trading system, again NPCs provide a 'floor' here by setting lowest
possible prices on the market.
Johno & I have formed a corporation and are busily saving up to rent our
first offices on an existing space station. We're having a ball and already
pricing how much it would cost to get our own station up and running :) Oh
and we get to shoot bad guys as well.
Who's in the Box?
