Hiya All,
DDO is good, but for me and I think you ppl, it lacks depth. It's
hack and slash to the max . In p'n'p I was never a big fan of giving
the other guy a fair fight, if indeed fight was to be given at all.
So, I have been doing a bit of scratching around to see how we could
actually play p'n'p game given the geographical separation.
Part I is teamspeak, easy, solved.
Part II is some means of putting up shared content
Part II is a virtual table top of some description
Part IV is an area to scripple on.
I have found Battlegrounds and Open RPG, they may be a goer. And GE
host a limited virtual white board, which is ok, but limited time
useage. Fantasy Grounds also seems to be a well developed piece of
software to do this, but as its so developed also seems quite
restrictive
What would be ideal is a facility to put up an image and for
everybody to be able to draw on it (different colors) and some sort
of dice roller.
Couple of questions; Would anybody be interested in this kinda game?
Are there any other tools you are aware of? Could it be developed?
I have subscribed to the http://www.d20srd.org/index.htm site, and
have their dowloadable source of rules, which could serve as a common
refrence, so rule sets are not an issue.
This is made easier by the fact that we are all grown ups, and
therefore not intrested in "cheating" on these games. I use grown ups
in its loosest form there.
Any thoughts?
