My PC is fubar... every video app is stuttering and unplayable (video,
games etc.) 

Have to do a re-install of windows, but can't do that until my backup
server is repaired - parts for which are arriving some time this week
(no idea when) - so that I can save all of the wife's stuff.

Basically I'm non-playable for the forseeable future :( 

Hopefully get it sorted this week but it could stretch into next week.
