Report With a large and strong squad for the second week running Spartak were away in the league for only the second time this season to bottom of the table Quayside Albion. It was a game Spartak should win but Albion would want revenge for the 8-4 defeat on the opening day of the season.

Spartak started the game kicking into the wind and struggled at first to get the ball down. When they did Spartaks midfield were in control with some good work esspecially down the right. And it was from the right that the first goal came. Bowman up for one of his launches into the box got the ball back and having two bites at it eventually crossed it in onto the head of Dave who flicked it into the far corner. The second came from a corner whipped in which fell to the feet of Clive whose shot was saved but with lightening reactions Matt turned it in from close range. The final exraordinary goal of the half came when a goal kick was cleared to the halfway line Steve caught it perfectly on the half volley and it flew towards the goal. Dave reacted quickest and with the ball being held up in the wind and the goal keeper having forty winks he nipped in front of the keeper to score from 6 yards.

At half time Neil came on for Clive and went on the left pushing John up front. Again it took Spartak 10 minutes to adjust to the this time helpful wind but the first of the goals came when Steve darted into the box, got to the byline and crossed, and aided by 2 deflections, went in for an own goal. The next came when a miss hit clearance from Rich pinged out to the left which Dave chased. He got there and layed it off to Neil who crossed and Graeme headed in. Spartak were well in control and defense and keeper, who I think had the ball in his hands twice the whole half, had very little to do.

After missing a number of chances Dave took himself off with just over 10 minutes to go. This proved to be inspired with a further 5 goals coming in the final ten minutes from Pete, Steve, Sam, Dan and a second for man of the match Graeme scoring at the near post from a short corner. (sorry I can't really remember the other 4 and plus I'm bored of writing).

A good performance by all players gave Spartak 3 points and put themselves back into positive goal difference.
