| Report | After a disappointing start to
the season, Spartak are finally starting to get justice on the pitch and with four
wins in a row something scarily like momentum is starting to build. Having jumped to
third in the league and only six points behind the leaders, the scary prospect of
promotion may even be conceivable.
Of course
there is still a very long way to go and a lot of games to be played, so Spartak
need to forget about long term and concentrate on the next fixture.
This week is like half the other weeks they have
been playing in that it's Genetics who are the opposition. Honestly if these two
teams meet any more this season, someone will start to talk. Considering the epic
extra time battle which happened the last time, a good game is in prospect and
Spartak will hope that home advantage, coupled with their newfound resilience and
spirit, will help carry them through.
They need
all the wins they can get this side of Christmas as it will probably take them two
months to run off all the pies after Christmas. |
