| Well the Christmas break is here
and halfway through the season Spartak have a lot to reflect on. On the one hand you
have the league where form has been very patchy, some great performance and some
less so. Overall Spartak will feel that they have't done themselves justice in the
league so far and the points do no reflect the performances.
On the cup front though, what a year so far. Christmas is here and
Spartak are still in all three cups! After the fantastic win in the cup last week,
Spartak will be able to enjoy a little extra relish with the turkey this year, but
not too much. Their jerseys are looking a bit tight already. Something to do with a
boil wash they claim, ahem.
Still though that
magnificent and fully deserved win against the clear leaders of their division will
give them heart for the second half of the season, as well as begging the question,
why can't they do it every week?
Consistency must
be what Santa brings for Christmas this week and preferably a different sort of
consistency to that which he brought last year which saw Spartak consistently winning wooden
spoons.
The challenge now though it to get
themselves mentally fit for their first game of the year on the fourth of
January.
Some chance! |
