| After their ignominious departure
from the Centenary Cup last weekend where they played like a bunch of blind
somnambulists in a thumb-tack factory, Spartak will have to snap back into something
like proper form this week if they want anything from the league this season.
The opposition are the top of their division and
Spartak have shown two sides against them this year. On the one hand they played
very poorly and got drubbed earlier in the season, but more recently a battling cup
tie brought a thoroughly deserved win to the Spartak lads. It remains to be seen
which side they show on Sunday.
With a glut of
games against top opposition in the pipeline over the next few weeks, Spartak will
have to up their game across the squad if glory is to be achieved. Either that or
the only silverware they will be seeing this year is the handle on the toilet after
flushing their season away. |
