| What a difference Christmas can
make. Before the festive season Spartak were a cup team struggling in the league.
Now in mid February they are suddenly out of one cup and battling hard to make an
impression on the league.
After a thorough and
impressive victory over the league leaders last week Spartak suddenly have a belief
that they can perhaps snatch promotion this year. Of course there are a lot of
obstacles to be overcome not least is some tough games against good opposition.
With the potential six-pointer game against second
placed Orange House over valentines weekend now postponed (apparently the Spartak
lads need all their energy as lovers for the weekend so, similar to their football,
it will be 30 seconds of work and the rest of the time spent pretending to be
interested) to a potentially dynamite last game of the season fixture, the next
opponents are first division Darley Stud. While certainly a hard game is expected,
Spartak have performed well against some of the bigger teams in both divisions this
year and would hope to pull off another upset.
Speaking of upset, don't forget the flowers on Valentines Day or your
ball control will be forever damaged! |
