This page is sponsored by FatboyTrainingTrainingPage contains my training details and tracks the development of my training plan and my log of training performance against said plan. Current training plan revolves around prepairing for the Dublin City Marathon on the 31st of October Races trips and events mentioned on this page ( and some not mentioned are ) reported on in the reports page. Triathlon..or "faster Fatboy, faster".Last year was my novice year in triathlon with the City of Bath Triathlon marking the popping of my tri cherry. This race was also the BUSA championship which I went around in a respectable, if not spectacular 2:53. The other major race of the season for me last year was the Pembrokeshire Triathlon for which I've put together a little race report. So if last year was my novice year, and I'm still at it, then that means I'm in a lot of trouble. Just how much trouble can be judged by the fact that I am the chair of the University of Bath Tri Club for 2000-2001. The loss of my "novice" status also means that the best of my excuses have been eliminated, so I'm just gonna have to train harder I s'pose. So speaking of which I'm putting my year training plan up here and will also mantain a training diary online with the intention of upping my distance from Olympic to 1/2 Iron in the 2000-2001 season. A key part of this training program will be winter training camp at Club La Santa in Lanzarote. This trip may look like a holiday, but it ain't, but you will never forget that Eurovisionesque intro music on the bus p.a. as long as you live. Nor for that matter the momentious hang over O'Rourke and I had on leaving the place, that wasn't clever. I've thrown together some links to sites I found of interest, which I feel are relevant to the sport of triathlon, these are to be found on the Uni Club links page. I think I should have also included a link to some good professional help too ( you know, like a head doctor). Climbing..or why Gravity is a myth, the Earth just sucks.I've heard it said that rock climbing offers a unique opportunity to combine a healthy rope and shoe fetish with a very unhealthy desire to swing off precarious rock faces and spend large wads of cash! Just to prove its not all madness, here's some pictures of a very nice day at the Peak. MTB..or fear the flat planet!Definition of terms. To avoid confusion that may be caused by the material discussed in this section some of the technical terms which may appear need defining.
