Prototype

Today was a good day in knee development land. We did some workshops with some prototypes and they actually kinda worked!!

Wonders will never cease.

In other news I am also now doing the after dinner speech at the Mat Sci dinner next month. This means I am now offically an old fart, but I do get a free dinner out of it :-)

I could tell you but...

Today was quite an intresting work day really and a lot went on. Absolutely none of which I can post on this page :-)

I had visions of restarting my morning runs this week, so I dilligently set my alarm for 6:00. However when I looked out it was pitch black out, so I may leave it another few weeks. Conditioning starts this week which I am sure will be quite unpleasent:-(

BTW some piccies from Christmas and snow(!!) on the .Mac site

Catch Up Time!

...last heard from setting off to do the Dublin Marathon.
Well I survived that and went around in a very steady 4:13. It very very hurt! It was a bloody rotten day for it too, but I have to say it was a very worthwhile experience. To bulid myself back up we had lunch in the Yacht in Clontarf. They do an outstanding cavery and some top notch limited edition Guiness brews ;-)

I have also been to the US twice since the last posting, Tampa last month and Orlando in December. We stayed in St. Pete's in Tampa and I would say that it is miles better that Orlando if you are not going to see "the Mouse".
The flight back from Orlando was a bit fraught as two people decided to kick off about seats being knocked or some such nonsense. The guy who was really giving a lot of guff was not such a big man when met in Gatwick by her Majesty's finest. I think sheepish is the word and me thinks he will regret that little outburst.

Christmas was smashing as we had the bulk of the family here and the boy went nuts for his pressies. Not having to travle was a blessing, especially given Lisa's condition.

Which brings me to the main news of the post, we are 15 weeks in on second sprog!
