All in the Garden

Probably the most constructive thing I have done recently is a bit of pottering about in the garden. Had a bit of a tidy up (after turning the place into a bit of a site) and also got some seeds planted in the vegie plot.

We are about two weeks down the line now and the lettus and rocket are sprouting nicely (no sign of anything else). Thinned our the rocket last night and had a little munch. Spicy!!

The apple tree is also looking well after its pruning. Lots of blossom, so hopefully should get a bit of a crop off it this year if I can fend off the dreaded SCAB!!

The other project I have had on the go is upgrading my G4 mac. This at first looked like a fairly straight forward job, but it turns out that the upgrade I had to make to the firmware to run the processor upgrade makes the Mac fussy about the memmory it uses, which resulted in most of mt memmory being knocked out of action. Some top scrounging later I have managed to get it back to a workable level. But thank you apple for that undocumented feature!

Where has the Fatboy Gone?

I have not been abducted by aliens. I have just been a very busy bunny. Since my last I have been to the US again and been back to Ireland for a very nice holiday indeed. Relevant pictures of Holiday will be posted on the .Mac site this
evening.

We also had a break down in the New Forest which was super. We were sans Jules, and felt like adults again :-)

Latest project is the garden. Built a raised bed, and the apple tree is doing much better after the heavy prune I gave it in the winter.
