Traning Runs at Longleath

While on holidays I did three runs. The first run was a bit of an orientation run, just to get the feel of the place.

Summary Data
Total Time (h:m:s) 0:41:33 7:17 pace
Moving Time (h:m:s) 0:38:08 6:43 pace
Distance (km) 5.67
Moving Speed (kph) 8.9 avg. 18.1 max.
Avg. Heart Rate 146 bpm Zone 3.9
Temperature (°C) 5.5°C avg. 6°C high
Wind Speed ( kph) SSE 1.9 avg. SSE 3.7 max.

The second run was a fairly stiff hill set which used the two hills either side of the lake there to push to heart rate. This set consisted of two sets of two hills with a recovery in between. A very effective run hitting a max HR of 186 (which is a good aproximation for my max heartrate).

Summary Data
Total Time (h:m:s) 0:41:19 7:00 pace
Moving Time (h:m:s) 0:40:19 6:50 pace
Distance (km) 5.89

Third run was a steady recovery run to take the sting of the hills out of my legs.
Total Time (h:m:s) 0:46:13 6:42 pace
Moving Time (h:m:s) 0:45:43 6:38 pace
Distance (km) 6.89
Avg. Heart Rate 146 bpm Zone 3.9

GPS Tryout

First Run with the Forerunner 305 on the 10th of March. Just out to Long Newton and back. Really just a bit of an excuse to use the new toy.

Note the heart rate of 157bpm registers as zone 4.5, which seems high given the type of run it was.

Total Time (h:m:s) 0:39:34 5:51 pace
Moving Time (h:m:s) 0:38:47 5:44 pace
Distance (km) 6.75
Moving Speed (kph) 10.4 avg. 15.7 max.
Elevation Gain (m) +80 / -81
Avg. Heart Rate 157 bpm Zone 4.5
Temperature (°C) 12°C avg. 12°C high
Wind Speed ( kph) WSW 27.8 avg. WSW 27.8 max.

Training Restart

Half serious training started again on the 5th of March 2007 as I was getting the fear about the half marathon on the 1st of April this was a 1:56 run and felt relatively good as it builds on the 40 min, 1hr and 1:30 runs I have been tipping away at since December.

Weight at this point was 88.7KG.
